Koji is a platform that lets non-coders "remix" games and apps to customize game assets, styles, and basic mechanics. We are excited to work with developers to grow our catalogue of games and let ordinary people remix them into new games that are hilarious, shocking, silly, fun, or all of the above! Remixes allow casual players on our platform to turn this into this. Try remixing some of the games on withkoji.com/create to get an idea of how it works! If you create a new, remixable game template that meets our specifications, we will pay you $500 USD per game. There is no limit on the number of games you can create for us, but additional games must be meaningfully distinct from each other in order to qualify for additional payment. Danidre Posted January 2, 2020 Share Posted January 2, 2020 I'm seeing a lot of remixes that are basically just sprite changes. You want a game creator, or an artist? withkojidev Posted January 2, 2020 Author Share Posted January 2, 2020 @Danidre Many of the games on our site are remixes, which is basically reskinning the game/app using VCC (Visual Customization Controls). This is the experience we are looking to offer to all users! We are looking for developers who are able to create the original, remixable templates, so that other users can then use those games as a starting point for their own remixes. Danidre Posted January 2, 2020 Share Posted January 2, 2020 @withkojidev I understand now. And that is indeed straightforward. Create a game/template, that others can use to remix and have fun. The only thing right now, is that more than likely, I will have to learn how to use your APIs in my game making such that things like leaderboards, and assets are remixable, not just plain JS games. So that would be an investment that I'll be interested in soon. But right now I'm occupied with about 3 things at once. I will keep this in mind to explore later on when I'm freed up.
