Hi there,

I'm trying to get a simple animation exported into Babylon. However, I've run into a problem.

Here is a link to how the animation looks in 3ds max. Looks correct.

Here is a link to what the animation looks like in Babylon. Look to the right to see the rover. It's firing out its wheels!!

The animation keys were added directly to the bones. (I'm not sure if that's relevant or not.) Also as a sidenote, I've tried the Unity 5 exporter. It also does not export animations correctly.

Any clue as to what's happening?? What steps can I take to make sure my animations come out correctly?

Thanks!

Hiya @exc_html5_2 and welcome.  No replies yet, eh?  Sorry.

I am not an expert in animations at all.  Can you share your .max file and your .babylon file... with us?

When I did a forum search for "max exporter", I found two things mentioned... both by Deltakosh.

1.  "Can you check on the scene's babylonjs properties that the checkbox "do not optimize animations" is checked?"

2.  "Can you right click on the scene in 3dsmax, select Babylon.js options and ensure that export quaternions is checked?"

Also look at this comment:  http://www.html5gamedevs.com/topic/25193-3ds-max-pivot-not-exported/#comment-144494

Those are just some ideas. You may wish to read more of those search returns.  Sorry I couldn't be more help.  Please tell us if you have success.  Hopefully, smarter people than I... will also reply.
