OTTEOK.COM - a 3D rice cake shop tycoon that becomes an idle factory (Three.js, no engine)

Hi all,

This one is a tycoon game that starts with making rice cakes by hand and ends as an idle factory. You make eight kinds of Korean rice cake by hand, wrap them, pack them and ship them. Then you buy rails, and the shop turns into a factory that runs while the window is minimized. The goal is ringing the bell at NASDAQ.

My favourite part is the reviews. Mess up an order and a customer writes: Gave it to my dog. He loved it.

Tech, since this is a dev forum: Three.js with an orthographic camera and a tilt-shift blur pass for the miniature look, no engine. There are no model or image files. Everything is built from code, and all the sound is Web Audio from code, so the whole game folder is about 1.1 MB including Three.js. Browsers stop requestAnimationFrame in a hidden tab, so a small Blob Worker keeps the factory clock going, and time while the computer sleeps is capped so it does not pay out for a whole night.

A bug you may enjoy: pressing the auto tape twice in a quarter of a second sent the truck off twice and crashed the next frame. I only found it because of a screenshot of a red error box. It runs on PC and phone, in English and Korean, with nothing to install. Feedback is welcome, and thanks for looking.

Building the whole shop and Web Audio from code at ~1.1 MB, then keeping the factory clock alive with a Blob Worker when the tab is hidden, is a clean browser-idle approach.

When the computer sleeps, you cap offline payout so a whole night does not cash out — is that cap shown to the player as a soft "rested" limit, or silent so they only notice on return?

And once rails turn the shop into a minimized-window factory, what still needs an active visit versus what can finish while the tab is backgrounded?
