My experiment with using 3D graphics after learning programs like Blender. Turned out better than I could have ever imagined, I definitely prefer working in 3D over 2D. I did the illustrations as well, was trying to go for a game intuitive, toonish character design.

I've attached some concept art, which includes characters that where to appear in the game, as well as already made 3D models that didn't make it in due to time and money constraints.

Gameplay of Knight(GUI is different due to it being an older version):

If I had more time, I could have put this move in the game.

There you have it, a melee character(Knight) and the Princess shoots lasers for long ranged enthusiasts.

There where 5 characters in total planned for initial release, the dragon, gunslinger, and fairy had 3D models that where still being worked on.

Fairy(The concept art is her transformed state):

Gunslinger(Red caped form is a transformation).

I wish I had the time and money to get them up to speed, as well as some extra effects.

Anyways, enjoy the game, let me know what you think(and what your high score is).

Thanks, what do you think of the gameplay by the way? Too complex? Complex enough? Okay? I tried to make it skill based and not just another tap, tap, tap game. Pressing different button combinations for new moves and stuff while having controls smooth enough on touchscreen for it.

Thanks for the honest and direct critique. As for characters, I know the two available aren't enough for character diversity. Aside from the 3 other wip models of fairy, gunslinger, and dragon, there are 3 more I wanted to include, a heavy hitting ogre, a versatile gryphon, and a defensive style amphibian girl. Here's some sketches of them.

Each already have a move list to implement if they hit the game, for example, here's amphibian girl's: She could catch those toxic projectiles in-game and send back a projectile of her own, the technique is timing based though. She uses a different style of fighting though than the two characters in game, thus no charging moves.

I probably should have made the game characters using a toon shader, possibly with outlines. I guess next game I will(once I mastered the technique, as you can see, there are some issues with the outlines and shading). Here's some of the models in said shader, and I really should have made a game with the purple haired princess.
