WTF! Phaser's retro and normal text do not work in Cocoon's Canvas/WebGL mode?

If i run my game in Cocoon's Webview+ it is jerky but the retro  font is working.


And if run my game in Canvas/WebGL view my game is as smooth as velvet but  the retro font is lost.


So i thought to go for WebGL mode with without retro font, with normal text instead. It did not even run the normal text in Canvas/WebGL mode, copied exactly from this example.


 


Here is the code i tried (using Phaser 2.0.5)

Why have you opened this as another new thread? I made it perfectly clear in my reply to you yesterday that no work at all has been done specifically on Cocoon text support yet, or Cocoon support at all for that matter. Yelling about it again isn't going to magically change that fact.

 

I've seen some devs get it to work fine, and others not, but pretty much all of that collected knowledge is together in the main sticky Cocoon thread in this forum.

I can see that you're frustrated but acting entitled does not help at all. There's a nice work around for getting bitmap fonts to work in Cocoon which involves converting the xml to json and making slight changes to the Parser. You can find all the details after going through http://www.html5gamedevs.com/topic/2312-ludei-cocoonjs-xml-bitmap-font-workaround/ . Its hacky but it works for now.
