I'm curious how other players and developers think about browser-based games. Is it the ability to jump straight into gameplay, interesting mechanics, meaningful decisions, or the feeling that every playthrough could be different? One example I've been exploring through my promotional work is 1 in 8 Billion, a browser-based life simulator featuring different birth countries, year-by-year progression, player choices, and character statistics such as health, happiness, and knowledge. You can check out the game here: https://1-in-8-billion.com/ I'd be interested in hearing your perspective: What makes you return to a browser game after trying it for the first time?

Should life simulation games let players control every decision, or offer an automatic choice system? Giving players more control can make each decision meaningful, but too many repetitive choices might slow down the game. I'm helping promote a browser-based life simulator called 1 in 8 Billion. Its interface includes year-by-year life progression and an auto-choices option. 🔗 Game link: https://1-in-8-billion.com/ From a game design perspective, where would you draw the line between player control and automation? I'd be interested in hearing how other developers approach this.

In simulation games, is it better to show players lots of statistics or keep the interface simple? Health, happiness, knowledge, and savings can help players understand their virtual life. But too many numbers could make the experience feel more like managing a spreadsheet than playing a game. I'm helping promote 1 in 8 Billion, a browser-based life simulator that displays these types of character statistics. 🎮 Website: https://1-in-8-billion.com/ For anyone interested in game UI/UX: which stats should always remain visible, and which should appear only when players need them?
