Mobile Ads

Hi,

Does anyone have any experience with adding ads (preferably interstitials / video ads) into an HTML5 that is aimed at mobile users (deployed as a native app with something like Intel XDK). I basically want to add an ad wrapper to my engine to allow users to display ads to their users to generate revenue.

Thanks

Mat

Well I know Leadbolt targets specifically mobile, and their ads often look something like this:

<script type="text/javascript" src="http://ad.leadboltmobile.net/show_app_ad.js?section_id=INSERTIDHERE"></script>

Leadbolt has heaps of different kinds of ads you could include into your game, and all the user would have to change is the ID. Only difficulty I see is, that users would have to sign up and go through the registration process before they have the correct ID to display.

It's a struggle.

I have tried a number of ad networks and so far Admob is the best in terms of revenue. Flurry gives 1/10th less and Millennial Media gives 1/3 to 1/4th less revenue than Admob.

I found that video ads are very profitable on occasion but on average text ads perform much better.

It's all inevitably based on clicks (and sometimes, installs), whether they tell you or not.
