  1. Hello! According to my experience, The portfolio of a Java spring framework developer who is looking to work as a freelancer should be neat and detailed. The portfolio should not be made up of too many projects that the freelancer has previously worked on, but it should have enough material to demonstrate the skills and experience that he or she can bring to the table. Here are some things that you might include in your portfolio: - A personal website - Professional blog posts - Online portfolios - GitHub projects - Tutorials on how to use certain platforms or tools - Code samples If you have any points please feel free to comment below!
  2. Hello guys, I'm Hipreme(aka MrcSnm). I have some experience developping some games, and over the time I developed these games I found some need of having a tool that would generate enum for acessing my resources via intellisense. This tools is Licensed on LGPL 3 In every game I developed, at some time, I wrote some code for storing in variables the path for my resources or some easier access. By thinking in this problem, I created one tool that is meant to help every game developer in any language by dynamically updating these resource enumerators when you drag'n drop in your folder a new resource. This tool is very customizable for your needs by accessing its generated file 'settings.config', it is a jar executable that will create one system tray icon on your notification area(already tested on Windows, but I think that it should work on Unix like systems). I already was able to make enums for Javascript, JSON, C++, C, Java and the default one C#. Everything just by tweaking the configs. In this tool you will set an Input path, then the executable will start to listen to this input path. After that, you can set one output path for where the generated file will be created. Every time you save the config file, or drag'n drop some file in a folder that is being listened, it will update the enum generated. That's all folks, hope this tools can help in your development. Access for this tool: https://github.com/MrcSnm/ResourceEnumGenerator
  3. Hi there, I like to introduce "Grain Defense" a HTML5 based tower defense game developed with Google GWT and a Vaadin Svg library. Play in browser: http://graindefense.trundicho.de Android App Store: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=de.trundicho.graindefense I'm a developer. I was evaluating the google GWT 2.7 framework to see if it's worth to be used in browser business applications. Therefore I programmed my first game "Grain Defense". It's done in very little time. I'm not a designer so the graphics are quite easy. Because I love tower defense games I choose to code a tower defense game The game is coded in Java. GWT transforms the java code to HTML5 and javascript. So the output can be played in every browser and even with a wrapping app (about 10 lines of written code) that starts a browser on your phone you can play it on every android device. For simplicity I used a Vaadin library that supports a simplified interface for SVG graphics. So almost everything you see in the game is based on svg. Please feel free to play the game and to give feedback or ask questions about this technical approach. Greetings Trundicho

  6. So recently JSweet created the BabylonJS Java library http://www.jsweet.org/candies-snapshots/ I took that and coded a small BabylonJS project in Java. See code and resources at https://github.com/ssatguru/Vishva See demo at: http://ssatguru.appspot.com/BabylonJS-Vishva/intro.html Use WASD keys to move avatar, shift+W to run, click and drag mouse to look around, mouse wheel to zoom in out and click button "Vincent" / "Joan" to switch avatar between male/female. With Java this is becoming fun

  9. html5 uses java for most of the functions. What if the pc/mac is not running any Java? Will it still work with needing any Java? Also is there any way to integrate flash on the web page itself without needing to install that on the client machine?
  10. Hey guys! I've already posted about my game, Rage Mage, but I have made a few big updates since last time, like adding a new quest, and more. Rage Mage is a 2D RPG game where you go on quests given to you, and you eventually become a mage. Becoming a mage gives you more attacks and special abilities. You then continue to go on quests, travel and more. I'm currently making a development series of Rage Mage on my YouTube channel, which you can watch here: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL9I3aLx-j6EAnjiTRUH9vMdtGgrSMzfZ9&feature=mh_lolz Here's a download link to the current build of the game: https://www.dropbox.com/s/9dc8mndkibzpgig/ragemage.jar I'd appreciate some feedback on this, because I've put a lot of work into Rage Mage so far. Thanks!
  11. Hey, Guys! I am currently developing a game in Java, titled 'Rage Mage'. I've been working on it for a while now, and am making a development series of it on YouTube. Watch it here: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL9I3aLx-j6EAnjiTRUH9vMdtGgrSMzfZ9&feature=mh_lolz In Rage Mage, you start in a village, and are given quests by people living in the village. After a little while of playing, you become a Mage, and you get stronger, and unlock new attacks. You then continue going on quests, and I'm probably going to add some other things to do. I don't currently have a download link for the current build of the game, so I can't provide one, sorry. It would mean a lot if you guys checked it out, and gave me some ( constructive, please ) feedback on it, I love hearing replies that help me improve. Thanks! Blizzard Muffin
