  1. I recently got one of those VR headsets where you put in your phone for the display. It's like cardboard only slightly better, with a more sturdy plastic phone holder and a head strap. It's pretty cheap but works surprisingly well with the default YouTube app and some 360 videos. It is possible to create vr apps and demos using HTML5/JavaScript, for example: Google VR has a JavaScript library that can display 360 images, Glam.js demos. So I was wondering if it's possible to create HTML5 vr games? Would be pretty cool for escape the room games, where you can look around in 360 degrees. Although technically I guess it's possible, I don't think there's a real market for such games. Seeing as HTML is mostly used for small webportal games, people with Oculus/HTCVive probably won't bother with HTML5, and people with a cardboard headset don't have powerful enough phones. Any thoughts?
  2. Is there any reason why sound is not playing in my WebVR demo in the Oculus browser? I already changed video.muted to false & it still won’t play. It’s the same demo in the examples only with another video I tried with sound. Also, it doesn’t autostart even though I told it to. It only autostarts in non-VR mode on my regular laptop. Here’s the link :: http://babylontesting.epizy.com/Three.js/skytime-vr/ Here’s the link to the Source :: view-source:http://babylontesting.epizy.com/Three.js/skytime-vr/ { NOTE } :: Copy & paste EVERYTHING above including the ‘view-source:’ portion into a browser
  3. In short, does Phaser have a VR game mode? Well, I'm looking to develop VR games, either played with headset or turning your phone. In the past I used Aframe to do some simple 'look around and spot stuff' kinda games with panorama (hdri) sky images. I want to take the advantage of real game engine like Phaser which includes physics, score or time tracking etc.. so I don't have to write everything from scratch. Any ideas? Thanks everyone! I'm new here and this is my first post on this forum
  4. Hi, can someone give me some advice how to use a sony headset in conjunction with babylon.js and browser on pc side? Are there any projects outside? Is it in general possible to config a camera to bring the right output format? How can the controller configured to give the right input (Keyboard mapping)? Or should I forget the idea adapting a sony VR system to babylon.js? Thanks in advance for some hints, greetings to all
  5. Hi, I am developping a virtual environment using webVRcamera to render it with HTC Vive Headset. I have no problems to see the scene into HTC Vive, however, I cannot move, the controllers do not work. I have tested this playground and there I can't move too. How could I solve it? http://playground.babylonjs.com/#ASDZLT#20 Thanks!
  6. Hi all, I am developing a very interesting project with BabylonJS. Some members of this forum helped me to add many features of my scene. Well, now I have a new goal. I must offer a virtual environment using Gear VR. I don't know if you have used this technology and how are your experiences with BabylonJS. Gear VR offers a WebVR API to load applications web based on WebGL. Another option is to migrate all of my Babylon scene to Unity and later exports this to an APK file. Unity has a plugin to create application for virtual reality with Samsung Gear VR. What do you advice me? Thanks!
  7. Hi everyone, I am currently working on a 3D scene that using VRDeviceOrientationFreeCamera and DeviceOrientationCamera, I experienced serious delay on both cameras. Based on what I have seen so far, it takes at least half a second for the camera to start rotate after I rotate my device. I try on other demo scenes with vr features enabled on babylonjs.com, there are also significant delay on the camera. Is this issue solvable by tweaking around the camera input or is it something we need to bear with if using the babylon default vr camera?
  8. Hi everyone! I made a 3d scenario with Babylon.js and I was wondering if there is a way to convert it to virtual reality compatible with all the possible headsets (Google Cardboard, Oculus Rift, Samsung Gear, etc) or what is the most used headset and how to convert my scenario for that one?. Can anybody explain me the "You can" and "You can´t" of this area?, I´m a newbie with virtual reality Sorry if my english is no good Thank you all
  9. I've seen a few VR functions in Babylon.js but I'm wondering if there are any working examples? I'm talking about VR for standard mobile devices, not Oculus Rift
  10. Hi Everyone, We have just launched a new service and JS library named PlugPIN. This free service makes it really easy for developers to turn smartphones into remote controls for games, apps or devices. You can check it out at: www.plugpin.com The idea about plugpin is that you can connect any smartphone to any device anywhere. Nog passwords, login's etc. Just fire up your browser, enter the pin and go. Currently there are just two examples displaying the functionality on the homepage. But there are some more examples in the documentation. Please check them out. And if you like it then don't hesitate to test it out. We would really like to know what you think about it and if you would like to use it. If you have any questions or remarks concerning PlugPIN JS. Then please don't hesitate to contact us. We are glad to help you out. Joost @ PlugPIN
